The Honor View 10 is available to preorder for $499, ships March 23rd

Huawei announced at CES this year that it would be bringing its Honor 7X and Honor View 10 phones to the US. Now we know when to expect the View 10: March 23rd, with preorders opening today for $499. The Honor View 10 (aka the V10) has similar specs to Huaweis flagship Mate 10 Pro. Its got the same Kirin 970 processor, although theres a slightly worse 16-megapixel camera (along with a second, monochrome 20-megapixel shooter), a slightly smaller 3,750mAh battery, and an LCD instead of an OLED display. Theres also 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a bezel-reducing design, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the latest version of Android 8.1 Oreo. Not bad for a $500 phone. As for the 7X, its been around in the US for a bit already, with a lower spec US variant that shared the 7X name launching in February, and a more powerful version with more RAM and storage akin to the international model, rebranded as the Huawei Mate SE, released last week.

Huawei’s budget-friendly Honor View 10 ships March 23rd

You can pre-order the $499 flagship phone right now. Huawei's Honor View 10 is positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to high-priced mobile phones. Our hands-on described it as a " OnePlus-style flagship that won't break the bank," while also calling it a "serious contender." Now you can pre-order the handset for $499 with a shipping date of March 23rd. The View 10 has two colors to choose from, a light blue and solid black. You'll get a free case and a set of white earbuds, too. Like Huawei's fancier Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, the View 10 uses a Kirin 970 chipset which power's the company's AI. It also uses a 5.99-inch LCD screen with slim bezels; not quite a full-screen phone, but pretty close. The 16-megapixel color camera has a 20MP monochrome companion, though they both jut out of the phone back iPhone-style.
